Nina Casanova, MD

Dr. Nina Casanova is a board-certified urologist with over 15 years of experience, specializing in minimally invasive urologic surgery, female pelvic medicine, and reconstructive surgery. She is a Senior Instructor in the Department of Surgery (Urology) at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and practices at UCHealth Urology Clinic – Cherry Creek, UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital, and University of Colorado Hospital.
Dr. Casanova earned her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in 2007. She completed her internship, residency in urology, and fellowship in pediatric urology at the University of Michigan Health System. She was board-certified by the American Board of Urology in 2017
In her clinical practice, Dr. Casanova treats a wide range of urologic conditions, including urinary incontinence, kidney stones, prostate health, and urologic cancers. She is known for her patient-centered approach and commitment to providing advanced, efficient care. She is also involved in academic medicine, contributing to research and education in urology.
Dr. Casanova resides in central Denver with her husband, Dr. Matt Stenmark, and their three daughters. She enjoys integrating her professional and personal life, often biking to work and participating in her community.
